Another AWESOME WIN for The Dojo! This is our second time competing at the King George Karate tournament & the Wolf Pack got everyone’s attention. I had karate masters’ walking across the gym to see the “Wolf Pack” compete. Seen their faces made me smile for the fact that they were in awe of what they were witnessing. They could not believe their eyes of the amazing skills the “WolfPack” team was showcasing.

The “Wolf Pack Team” 100% AMAZING!

So these are the highlights of the tournament:

1) Alaina Spears does it again! She racked up three first place trophies…leaving everyone in the dust. Alaina Spears is for sure in a league of her own.

2) Teress Dobbie: Left her mark winning first place in weapons, 2nd place in kata and fought to the end winning the sparring division…nicely done!

3) Camauri McPherson: My Shadow Warrior…again, this young man was competing against the best in the weapons division and took 1st place. Then Camauri competes in the kata division and goes to win 1st place, again! This young super star has some amazing talent & skills. He could easily become a movie start…watch out Hollywood…we are going to Hollywood, baby! Wait, not finished yet, Camauri also wins 1st Place in the sparring division against Treshaun and walks away as the Grand Championship trophy for the Black Belt Division! Way to go, Camauri!

4) Treshaun Whittaker: Took First Place in weapons, 2nd place in sparring and 3rd palce in kata. This was a tough competition for Treshaun but he held his own.

5) Little Brian: He smoked the competition with his performance. He won all 1st places in weapon, kata and sparring. All the judges came over to congratulate this young man. I was happy for him, he deserved it

6) Breyona Whittaker: Does it again, 1st Place in sparring and 2nd place in kata.

7) Sydnee Brown in the house! Sydnee did a flawless performance in the kata division, winning 1st place. But she was not done yet…she took care of business in the sparring division winning 1st place. Go Sydnee…Go!

Again, this Tournament was full of praises from the audience, from Old School instructors and Senseis. So many instructors and parents congratulated us…we definitely continue leaving huge mark at these events. The Dojo, Mt. Everest Karate Studio won a total of 13 first place trophies plus the Grand Championship trophy. These are the most 1st place trophies won, by the “Wolf Pack”, at a tournament!

For me personally there were 3 moments that were very special:

1) Seen my students win First Place in the weapons division. They sure know how to put a winning performance. Karate Masters from other dojos stopped dead on their tracks and walked over to see the “Wolf Pack” team compete in the weapons division. It seemed like everything, for that moment, went into slow motion while watching Teress, Camauri, Treshaun, Alaina and Little Brian show case their weapon skills.

2) Having Camauri, win the Grand Championship trophy. It does not get better than that…it sure doesn’t! My “Shadow Warrior” small in size but mighty in spirit!

3) This was a Goju-Ryu performance at the highest level and we proved it. Our Goju-Ryu karate cannot be challenged by anyone. The Dojo, Mt. Everest Karate Studio teaches the highest level of Shorin-Ryu and Goju-Ryu karate and we prove that time and time again…I feel like we are untouchable!

Thank you parents for making sure every student trains hard for Tournament Training and Championship Training. This would never be possible without your full support…thank you guys!

Congratulations Everyone…You guys are the Very BEST!

Next Tournament: Saturday 5/5
